`awesome-mcp` is an npm package that provides a terminal CLI for searching the [awesome-mcp.tools](https://awesome-mcp.tools) catalog of 2,000+ MCP servers. The package also includes `awesome-mcp-bridge`, a stdio-to-Streamable-HTTP MCP proxy for clients that need a local stdio server while connecting to the hosted endpoint at `https://awesome-mcp.tools/mcp`. The README documents MCP client setup examples for Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI, Cline, and Windsurf, plus the available tools such as server search, comparison, category lists, and trending/hot listings. This repository contains the CLI, bridge, and configuration examples; the backend catalog service is hosted separately.
