About

Forage is an MCP server for Claude Code and other MCP clients. It searches public registries, installs selected tools, and exposes them through a proxy. The server can add new tools during a session without restarting the client. It also writes usage notes to CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, or Cursor rules so tools can be remembered across sessions. The repository includes a CLI for setup and local management, plus persistence under `~/.forage/` for installed tools and install history.
